What you pay when you order through Design Your Project, how an estimate becomes a confirmed price, and how cancellations and refunds work.

- At checkout you pay the full estimate or a deposit, as shown before you pay.
- After a site visit we send a written proposal with the confirmed scope and price.
- Until you accept that proposal, you can cancel and receive a full refund.
- Refunds go back to the card you paid with.
What you pay at checkout
Each service you configure has an estimate. Depending on how Lux Domus Builder has set up payments, checkout charges either the full estimate or a deposit percentage of it; the checkout page shows which applies, the amount due today and any balance, before you pay.
Prices are in US dollars. Sales tax is calculated at checkout.
From estimate to confirmed price
After your order we contact you to arrange a site visit. We then send a written proposal setting out the scope, schedule and final price. Work starts only after you accept the proposal and we both sign an agreement.
If the confirmed price is higher than what you paid, the difference is invoiced according to the payment schedule in the agreement. If it is lower, the difference is [refunded, or credited against the first invoice].
Payment methods and security
Online payments are made by card through Stripe. We never see or store your full card number. Receipts are sent by email.
Cancelling before you accept a proposal
You can cancel an order at any time before you accept the written proposal by replying to your order confirmation or writing to [Email placeholder]. We refund what you paid in full [less any third-party costs you approved in writing, if this applies], within [number] business days.
If you decline the written proposal, the same full refund applies.
After you accept a proposal

Consultation appointments

How refunds are paid
Refunds are made to the card used for payment. Banks usually show a card refund within 5 to 10 business days after we issue it.

If something about a charge looks wrong, please contact us first; we will look into it promptly.

We may update this policy. Orders are governed by the version in place when they were placed.
